Dinosaurs at the Natural History Museum
I was really surprised by the quality of the dinosaur exhibits at the Natural History Museum. I was equally surprised to hear that a major site of fossils and fossilised eggs is close to Aix-en-Provence. This was an interesting attraction and gave an insight into how the Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur must have been in the prehistoric era. It is on the Espariat Street and we spent a couple of very enjoyable hours exploring the exhibits.

Hanging out in the square
The Place de l'Hôtel de Ville is a great place to hang out in Aix-en-Provence. We spent a whole afternoon here one day. It was nice and sunny, and we enjoyed a good al fresco meal. It was quite lively, which I think was partly due to tourists, partly due to its proximity to the Paul Cézanne University.

Shopping at the Market (Marché)
The market in Aix en provence is definitely one of the best French markets that I have ever been to. We really enjoyed exploring the food stalls and various antiques. It is held every morning on Tuesdays, Thursdays and again on Saturdays.
